In a typical back-end mail room where the mail is delivered to the recipient, the delivery person physically carries the mail to the recipient’s desk to handover the same and collects the signature as proof of delivery.
By Deploying the Mobile Application, the delivery staff logs-in to the device and selects the route assigned to him. Upon the selection of the route, the details of mails that has to be delivered is downloaded into the device. This includes the consignee name, consigner name, Airway bill no. etc. On handling over the document/mail the awb no. barcode is scanned and delivery details are captured including the digital signature of the consignor on the device, which gets updated to the server instantly.
The new mobile application has completely removed the cumbersome paper work involved in the delivery process and streamlined the whole process in real-time. This leaves the delivery staff with more delivery time whereby improving his productivity and decreasing the cost by way of paper work/stationary etc.
